Nick

Our fearless leader founded tekFinder in March 2018. tekFinder’s goal is to be a supportive and friendly agency, that does nothing but add value in every transaction, for clients and candidates alike. Nick started his recruitment career in the UK before moving to Sydney in 2011.Nick loves his business, mentoring his team, DJs on the side for fun and enjoys the gym. He’s in the ‘trenches’ and ‘on the tools’, helping the team wherever they need support. Nicks always up for a laugh, is a self confessed workaholic and also appeared on ITVs Dinner Date in 2010.

Moving to sunny Bondi back in 2014 was the motivator behind a big career change for me. Previously a vehicle technician turned car salesman back in the UK, I realised after several years working with four-wheels, that it was time for an overhaul.In Australia, I transitioned into software engineering recruitment, working within strict, target-driven recruitment firms and smaller boutiques, before joining tekFinder in 2020.Here, I lead a small team, focused on connecting some of Australia’s leading technology companies with passionate jobseekers.Personally, I like to follow a ‘treat people as I like to be treated’ approach. I don’t apply pressure on candidates to make a swift decision regarding a job role and I don’t call people for the sake of a KPI.Away from recruitment, If I’m not attempting to play golf, I’ll be a in bar ordering a pint of Stoney.

After arriving from the UK over 7 years ago, I very quickly called Australia home (or like every person from the UK, I called Bondi home). I am highly passionate about the Product space and providing my clients the best talent on the market, as I truly believe it’s the people within that help a business succeed. I always work with an open and honest approach, even when the feedback may not be good.I am a firm believer that “transparency is key”. Outside of work, if I’m not at the beach, or trying Sydney’s newest restaurants, I will be staying up to all hours watching Arsenal – which tends to lead to an evening/morning of frustration.

Originally from the United States in Arizona, I decided to change the desert for the ocean! What started off as a 3-month trip to Australia has turned into living here for 3 years. I have a natural passion for all things social media, and I am always that one person recording and taking photos of everything.I am so happy to be at tekFinder, with a great team around me. I love that I can showcase the work they do, the awesome culture here and every day I am learning more and more about the tech world. Outside of work I am either freediving, scuba diving with sharks, or planning my future travels around the world!

Joni

I’m originally from California but have been happy to call Sydney home since 2020! I’ve worked in tech the last 10 years, and have always had a particular passion for companies and causes where tech can make a positive impact on people and planet.Having experienced first hand the operational challenges facing NFPs when money, technical skills, and time are lacking, I’m thrilled to be working at tekFinder where we’re looking to bridge that gap with tekFoundation. My hope is that we can create a more connected community where the talented pool of tech experts are working hand in hand to further the missions of the NFPs and charities around Australia.&nbsp;When I’m not working you can find me in the water (swimming, surfing, diving), on the hiking trail, making a mess in my kitchen or (attempting to) play tunes on my ukulele!
