tekFinder started life on a sofa in Bellevue Hill in Sydney in 2018. Nick Shepherd began his career in recruitment in the UK before moving to Australia in 2011. After working with local recruiters, Nick saw first hand how transactional & metric focussed they could be. Candidates were called just to hit targets or pull leads from in an attempt to hit a KPI. He felt compelled to start doing things differently. Better.
Nick set out to create a recruitment business that was less corporate and less ‘salesy’. One that provided a more comfortable approach for both candidates and clients alike. And it worked. Today Nick’s team is recognised and respected for their highly personalised, highly efficient and successful approach to finding the right talent for every role, and adding value at every step.
